Boston based Elevated Registered Dietitian who is also available via Telehealth

Alyssa Fernandes, MS, RDN, is a New England native who fell in love with nutrition due to her lifelong dancing career. She realized how improving the quality of her diet and eating behaviors affected her performance and was curious to learn more. In 2016, Alyssa earned her bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University in Miami, Florida as a member of the Dean's list and Captain of Florida International University’s Dance Team.

Shortly after in 2018, Alyssa earned her master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, and is currently a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. In recent years she has gained experience as a nutrition educator at the Florida Department of Health, a dietetic intern at the Veterans Affairs clinic, and a volunteer at the Volunteers in Medicine clinic in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

In addition, Alyssa has gained valuable sports nutrition experience through interning with Valdosta State University Athletics in Valdosta, Georgia, as well as implementing the Raise Your Game sports nutrition education program (sponsored by Clif Bar) at St. Augustine High School. Alyssa continues to develop her nutrition knowledge while writing featured articles and creating content for Elevated Nutrition and Wellness.
